The Lights Of Seattle At Night
During your final night time approach when landing at Sea-Tac Airport, there are a few things that you will want to be on the look out for. From the sky, you will be able to point out the well known Space Needle at the Seattle Center. At night, you will be able to spot this amazing tower, that stands 605 feet tall. At night, they have its needle at the top flashing red to make sure that airplanes and helicopters are aware that it is there so that they do not get too close.
Another well known Seattle landmark that is lit up at night, is the International Fountain at the Seattle Center. This fun tourist attraction is a great spot for families to visit with their children, because they can walk into the fountain and cool off from their day touring around the Seattle Center. Young children get a kick out of it because the fountain can be at times unpredictable, sometimes it is off and can turn on at a moments notice and give you an added shower for the day. When visiting the International Fountain after sundown, you will find it’s lights on to show its beauty from afar to attract your attention to it.
Finally, another way you can tell that you are just about to Sea Tac Airport, when flying in on an airplane or a helicopter at night is the famous Washington State Ferries. These can be seen crossing Puget Sound between Seattle’s Coleman Dock Ferry Terminal and Bainbridge Island and Bremerton. For those wanting a quick trip after sundown to see the Seattle Skyline by its amazing lights, you can take a 35 minute ferry ride to Bainbridge Island or for those of you who have more time and want a longer ride, you can visit Bremerton and watch the lights of the Seattle Skyline on this amazing hour long trip.
