Seattle, Washington has the space needle restaurant that revolves, Pike Place Market, and the Columbia Center with a Sky View Observatory for townies and visitors to peruse at will. Those little towns surrounding the city of Seattle also have fun and interesting things to do while in the state of Washington. Kirkland, Washington right outside of Seattle has a vibrant nightlife, wine tastings and tours, and water activities which span from boat tours to ski lessons. Bellevue, Washington is right across Lake Washington from Seattle and offers visitors an arts and crafts fair that appears yearly. Museums for adults, children and doll collectors can be found in Bellevue. The natural water resources offer visitors ample opportunities for water activities.

Combine the many things to do and the botanical gardens that are available in Bellevue, visitors will always remember this little town. Edmonds, Washington is a great place to visit when looking for boating, hiking and beaches are on the itinerary. Edmonds offers a local ballet company and town orchestra. The Puget Sound bird festival, the concerts in the park and the art studio all welcome out-of-towners to find the beauty of this small city on the outskirts of Seattle, Washington.

Seattle is well known for its Seafood and Clam Chowder, but local residents and even some tourists would argue that the Ivar’s Clam Chowder, and other Seafood items on their menu are the best anywhere. Whether you are staying near downtown Seattle or have just walked over on the Washington State Ferries from Bainbridge Island, or Bremerton, Ivar’s is just a short walk down the pier. Ivar’s is very casual and offers both indoor as well as outdoor seating to its guests. On a nice warm day during the summer you can sit outside overlooking beautiful Puget Sound to enjoy your meal, just be prepared to share it with a Seagull or two.

The other very popular spot for Seafood dining on Seattle’s Waterfront is Anthony’s Pier 66. They offer more of a sit down semi-formal atmosphere with a full bar and excellent Seafood. They are also right on the Seattle Waterfront where you can watch the Ferries crossing and the occasional Seal or Orca Whale playing in Puget Sound. Another luxury that Anthony’s Restaurants offers is Vallet Parking in their parking garage. Seattle’s Waterfront gets very crowded with its tourists especially during the summer months and parking can be a challenge so this option might be the best for those who do not want to have to walk too far to get their meal.If you like what you see, keep going: Seattle Tourist Attractions

Seattle is a beautiful city and there are many places you can visit without needing a automobile. The transit that this city has to offer will get you quickly to every place you wish to visit. The fares are inexpensive and daily, or monthly passes are available. Sometimes finding parking in the Seattle area can be difficult and expensive. Taking the public transit that Seattle has to offer can alleviate this problem.

You may want to take public transit to see the Space needle. This amazing structure can give you a view of the entire city and distant mountain ranges. It is a beautiful site and you can dine at the top of this amazing structure. It was originally built for the worlds fair, but is now a part of the Seattle landscape and one of the most visited attractions in this city

Public transit will also take you to Pikes market where you can visit many unique restaurants and shop. Fresh flower markets and Fresh Fish are two of the attractions that make this a unique place to visit. Near by is the Seattle Art Museum with many wonderful exhibits you won’t want to miss. This museum is within walking distance to the Pikes market. Public transit is wonderful to experience in Seattle and it can get you to work or play in this beautiful city.

Seattle offers the best city map to help those who have never visited Seattle to get to all of the places they are wanting to go. Whether you are coming across on the Washington State Ferries to tour Seattle or coming from out of state, you can easily get a City Map of Seattle to help you with your tourist activity planning. Once you board the ferry, there will be a rack on the ferry with brochures available and be sure to grab the Seattle City Map, because it has easy to read directions and information on it as well as suggestions of places to go.Get more information here. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2015198323_kingstonferry01.html?syndicationrss

Another option you have, if you want to plan out your tourism before arriving in Seattle, you can contact the Greater Seattle Area Chamber of Commerce and talk to them about the dates that you will be visiting the Seattle area and they will send you the Seattle City Map, along with suggestions of must see things in Seattle for all ages in your party.

If you happen to misplace your map, you can ask at your hotel front desk for another one or most of the major tourist attractions usually have them on hand as well.
